History Of Cass Commercial Bank
Cass Commercial Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1906, under the original name Cass Bank & Trust Company. The bank underwent a significant transition on July 30, 1965, when it withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), subsequently becoming a state-chartered bank. Over the years, the bank's main office moved several times, including relocations to Tenth and Olive Streets in St. Louis, Missouri, in April 1974, and to South Geyer Road in Sunset Hills, Missouri, in November 1990 and again in November 1994. In September 1998, the institution changed its name to Cass Commercial Bank. On November 28, 1994, Cass Commercial Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System. The bank expanded its operations by acquiring Franklin Bank of California in Orange, California, on November 23, 2004.
