Carver Federal Savings Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1948, under the original name of Carver Federal Savings and Loan Association. The bank's main office was relocated on March 7, 1949, to 75 West 125th Street in New York, New York. Over the years, Carver has expanded through several acquisitions, including the purchase of Allied Federal Savings and Loan Association in Jamaica, New York, on August 31, 1982. The organization transitioned to a Stock Savings Bank and changed its name to Carver Federal Savings Bank on December 31, 1986. Subsequently, the bank acquired Nassau Savings and Loan Association, F.A., in Brooklyn, New York, on November 16, 1990, and later acquired Community Capital Bank in Brooklyn on September 29, 2006.
