Carrollton Bank, originally established as The Carrollton Bank in 1877, has a long history of growth and evolution in the state of Illinois. In 1976 and 1977, the bank transitioned its trust powers to limited status, reflecting changes in its operational framework. The institution rebranded itself as The Carrollton Bank and Trust Company in March 1978. Subsequently, on October 25, 1994, the bank officially changed its name to Carrollton Bank. The bank expanded its reach through acquisitions, including Heritage Savings and Loan Association in Jerseyville, Illinois, in August 1990, and Zook & Roecker State Bank in Oregon, Missouri, in November 1998.
