History Of CapTex Bank
CapTex Bank is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1901, originally under the name The First National Bank of Trenton. Over the years, the bank underwent a series of changes, reflecting its evolving status and regulatory framework. On September 30, 1989, the main office was relocated to Main Street in Trenton, Texas, and on January 12, 1996, it moved again to 106 Hamilton Square in Trenton. The institution rebranded as CapTex Bank, National Association on November 29, 2018. Significant shifts occurred on August 31, 2020, when the bank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, changed its regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and transitioned to a state-chartered bank. It also adopted the simplified name CapTex Bank that day. The bank’s main office moved to 2929 West 5th Street in Fort Worth, Texas at that time and subsequently relocated again on January 18, 2022, to 1301 West 7th Street, Fort Worth, Texas.
