Branch Reviews & Complaints
The Bradfordville Branch of Capital City today was appalling and in humility makes me sad that I'm both a shareholder and multi-account customer.
First, an elderly couple comes in the branch in BRADFORDVILLE, and needs a BANKER to ask a question about their CD. Now, How could I know that? Well because the BRILLIANT TELLER YELLED THE QUESTION TO THE COUPLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE BANK FLOOR to the COUPLE with 25 people in the busy branch!! YES!!
They're waiting for the "Banker," JULIE (or is she a MANAGER GOD FORBID?) is it (?) who has a project going in her office that seems endless and personal. These nice people needed to ask a question and get some "BANKING" help--you know like at a bank? So the BRILLIANT TELLER from the distance of the TELLER COUNTER to the BACK OF THE BRANCH SAYS, "I can help you, do you want to CASH-IN YOUR CD?"
So what in the HELL is a banker YELLING someones business across the bank floor? And this just wasn't a teller, this was a TELLER-MANAGER. Lord help us. Well, I can answer why--and I politely told the TELLER MANAGER that my and 24 other people knowing the nice people's business is just, well, a bad idea. He didn't get it.
Second, went I went into the Bradforville Capital City Branch Manager's Office which I was directed to do by the Metropolitan Branch yesterday with my contractor, I asked the MANAGER FOR A SIGNATURE GUARANTEE. Both Payees of the Check are clients of the bank five times over. Seriously. We're both there also with our driver's licenses out so we can get rolling on repairing my house. It's serious.
The "Branch Manager," tells me all about her 35 years of banking experience and how she's never seen this. Making me feel like a fool. I'm not a fool. I'm an advanced financier, with a law degree, and studied negotiable commercial paper, and I know how to spell INDORSEMENT. Obviously, this person who Capital City has hired as a "Manager" didn't finish banking 101 because she complains that she can't guarantee someone's signature who happens to be a Managing Member of an LLC. In reality, SHE HAS NO EARTHLY IDEA WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT AND THINKS SHE'S GUARANTEEING THE LLC RATHER THAN THE SIGNATURE OF THE SIGNOR. She finally admits that She's not "comfortable," (doing her job)!!! What an abortion. What the worst bank manager in my life who doesn't know what NEGOTIABLE COMMERCIAL PAPER LOOKS LIKE much less it's just a double endorsed check.
Capital City-- I'll see you at the shareholder's meeting and I'm going to tell everyone I know to avoid you like the Plague. Your managers are playing CYA and that means C'YAH to the Client. Bad news Charlie Brown. Fix it or flounder and drown (figuratively speaking)!!!!
