History Of California Bank & Trust
California Bank & Trust, originally established as Grossmont Bank on November 9, 1972, underwent several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. The bank initially operated under its original name until December 8, 1977, when it changed its name to Grossmont Bank. Over the years, it expanded its operations through various acquisitions, including California Heritage Bank in 1985 and The Bank of San Diego in 1993. Significant growth continued in the late 1990s and early 2000s with the acquisitions of multiple banks, such as The Sumitomo Bank of California in 1998 and Antelope Valley Bank in 2001. The institution moved its main office several times, with notable relocations to San Diego, California, in 1995 and 2000. In January 2016, the bank changed its name to ZB, National Association, and subsequently merged with Zions First National Bank on December 31, 2015. The final name change to Zions Bancorporation, N.A. occurred on September 30, 2018, reflecting its status as a part of a larger banking entity.

My problem is not necessarily with the people at any branch and I've interacted with three branches in the 20 years I've had an account with CBT and there are a lot of good people I've worked with. The truth is they aren't really a "local" bank though because much of the gears of the machine are located in Salt Lake City.
