C1 Bank

C1 Bank was established on November 17, 1995, under the name Community Bank of Manatee. The institution underwent several changes in its identity and operations over the years. On February 8, 2011, it was renamed Community Bank & Company. Following a series of acquisitions, it acquired First Community Bank of America on June 1, 2011, and later acquired The Palm Bank in Tampa, Florida, on May 31, 2012. It officially changed its name to C1 Bank on May 1, 2012. The main office was relocated to 100 5th Street South in Saint Petersburg, Florida, on December 1, 2012. On August 2, 2013, C1 Bank acquired First Community Bank of Southwest Florida as part of a government-assisted merger. Subsequent relocations of the main office occurred in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, on April 1, 2008, and earlier in Bradenton, Florida, on August 13, 2007. On July 22, 2016, C1 Bank merged with and became part of Bank of the Ozarks, which led to another name change to Bank of the Ozarks on the same day. The institution was eventually renamed Bank Ozk on July 16, 2018.
