BURTON STATE BANK

Burton State Bank was established in 1906 and originally operated under the name Burton State Bank. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its operations and location. On April 20, 1990, the main office of Burton State Bank was relocated to 515 North Main Street in Burton, Texas. The institution continued to serve its community until its merger on December 3, 2021, when it became part of Citizens State Bank, based in Somerville, Texas. The merger marked the end of Burton State Bank's independent operations after more than a century of service.
