Buffalo Federal Bank, originally established as Buffalo Federal Savings and Loan Association on May 1, 1936, underwent several significant transformations throughout its history. On March 29, 1996, the institution changed its organization type to Stock Savings & Loan and rebranded itself as Buffalo Federal Savings Bank. The main office of the bank relocated to 106 Fort Street, Buffalo, Wyoming, on April 23, 1990. In a regulatory shift, the bank changed its primary federal regulatory agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency on July 21, 2011.
