BTC Bank, originally established as The Bethany Trust Company on September 19, 1919, has undergone significant changes and expansions throughout its history. In 1998, the institution acquired the Bank of Gallatin, also known as First State Bank, which marked the beginning of its growth trajectory. The organization rebranded as BTC Bank on September 20, 1999. Subsequently, BTC Bank established a new main office in Bethany, Missouri, on September 22, 2008. The bank continued its expansion by acquiring several other financial institutions, including The Bank of Fairport in Maysville, Missouri, on May 17, 2019; Home Exchange Bank in Jamesport, Missouri, on October 15, 2021; and 1st Cameron State Bank in Cameron, Missouri, on November 4, 2021. Most recently, on October 7, 2022, BTC Bank acquired The Merchants and Farmers Bank of Salisbury, Missouri.
