History Of Bruning Bank
Bruning Bank, originally established as Bruning State Bank on September 1, 1891, has undergone several name changes and structural adjustments throughout its history. Notably, on March 29, 1908, it transitioned to offering full trust powers, a status it retained until changes were made in later years. The bank experienced significant changes in its operations, including a move of its main office to Main Street in Bruning, Nebraska, on February 6, 1989. In 1991, it once again changed its trust powers to full. A major acquisition occurred on March 15, 2003, when Bruning Bank acquired The Commercial State Bank located in Clay Center, Nebraska. The main office was relocated to 104 Main Street in Bruning, Nebraska, on March 31, 2006.
