Bremer Bank, National Association, is a financial institution based in Minnesota, originally established on November 19, 1932, as Drovers Exchange State Bank in South St. Paul. The bank underwent several name changes, becoming Drovers State Bank in 1962, Drovers First American Bank of South St. Paul in 1982, and First American Bank Metro in 1990. In 1997, it became known as First American Bank, National Association, and subsequently transitioned to Bremer Bank, National Association on July 6, 1998. The bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in March 1997. Over the years, Bremer Bank has expanded through numerous acquisitions, including the purchase of First American Bank of Watertown in Watertown, Minnesota, in 1993, and multiple branches of Bremer Bank across various locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin on October 1, 2014.
