Border Bank is a financial institution that was originally established as Union State Bank of Fargo on August 21, 1972. The institution underwent a name change to Union State Bank of Fargo on April 1, 1974. Over the years, the main office has relocated multiple times within Fargo, North Dakota, with significant moves occurring on May 11, 1988, to 4201 13th Avenue South, and again to 901 40th Street Southwest on May 1, 1993. Further relocations took place in May 2005 and January 2007, with the main office eventually settling at 4530 17th Avenue South, Fargo, North Dakota. On December 7, 2020, the bank acquired Border Bank in Greenbush, Minnesota, and subsequently changed its name to Border Bank.
