Bluestone Bank is a commercial bank that was established on March 19, 1872, originally under the name Bridgewater Savings Bank. Initially, the institution was not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) but became FDIC insured on June 20, 1985. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and structural transformations. Notably, on January 1, 2010, the bank changed its name to Bridgewater Savings Bank and expanded through the acquisition of East Bridgewater Savings Bank in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. In 2013, the bank transitioned to a State Chartered Bank and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with a change in its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve (FED).
