History Of BloomBank
BloomBank, originally established as Bloomfield State Bank in 1873, underwent several significant changes throughout its history. In 1971, the institution expanded its operations by changing its name from Bloomfield State Bank and gaining full trust powers. BloomBank relocated its main office in 1989 to Main Street in Bloomfield, Indiana, and subsequently moved again in 2001 to 48 North Washington Street in Bloomfield. On July 1, 2015, the bank officially rebranded as BloomBank. It became part of MutualBank on February 28, 2018, followed by its merger with Northwest Bank in Warren, Pennsylvania, on April 24, 2020. Notably, in 1977, BloomBank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System.
