Black River Country Bank, originally established as the Bank of Melrose in 1907, has undergone several name and location changes throughout its history. The institution first changed its name to Bank of Melrose in 1973. In 1993, the bank rebranded as Black River Country Bank and moved its main office to the intersection of State Highways 12 and 27 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, on October 1 of that year. Shortly thereafter, on September 11, 1995, the main office was relocated to 221 Main Street in Black River Falls, Wisconsin, where it currently operates.
