Beverly Bank was established in 1888 as Beverly Co-operative Bank, initially operating without Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) insurance. Over the years, the institution underwent several name changes, becoming Beverly Co-operative Bank in 2006 and subsequently changing its name to Beverly Bank on March 17, 2014. On October 24, 2003, it transitioned to a cooperative bank stock organization type. Ultimately, on October 1, 2019, Beverly Bank merged with North Shore Bank, a cooperative bank located in Peabody, Massachusetts, marking the end of its independent operations.
