Complaint against Berkshire Bank - Christine Wylie-Branch Mrg. Hebron CT. I called the branch on July 5, 2024. Christine answered (the new manager). I used to deal with Darleen the Assistant Mrg. but she was off that day (my wife and I knew her well and she would have let me discuss my wife's accounts with my wife's approval on the phone). My wife and I verified who we where. My wife asked if I could talk about an IRA CD in her name that is maturing on July 13. Christine said no. She was very rude to us both. She was talking to me like a High School Principal and I was in detention. I just wanted a special CD rate like we both got on June 1. I called the customer service # on Monday July 8 and made a complaint. I talked to a customer service manager. He said he would write a complaint and have someone get back to me. The next day I called customer service again after no one called me. They said a Regional Mgr. that is in charge of the Hebron, CT would call me back. That didn't happen. I called customer service again. They said the Regional Mgr. was busy. On July 10 went to Citizens Bank in Old Lyme, CT and did the paper work to transfer fund from Berkshire Bank to Citizens Bank. Over $500K. I called Darleen on July 12. She didn't ask me for the verification question because she knew me. I called her to close a checking account. She did it and was very nice to me. She should be the manager of Hebron, CT.
I don't think Berkshire Bank even cares that I closed my account due to the rudeness of Christine Wylie. When I called customer service after we both verified who we where with my wife's permission the let me discuss her accounts but they said branches have their own rules. Branches and Corporate should be on the same page. I was a customer for over 10 years.
To resolve this issue I would like Nitin Mhatre the CEO to contact me.
This is a WONDERFUL bank. Their security and customer service is AMAZING!
I needed help with my Berkshire bank ATM card. Even though the manager was not busy, she told me to get help with someone else ! Very poor customer service. I will go to another branch, this is unacceptable !
So far, I cannot access my bank account after the digital change over. I have asked for help over 3 times and no one can help me and they don't call me back to even try again. What is going on. I have bills to pay and I am deeply distressed over this.
Horrible new software for online check paying. Im moving my money.
The new format for online personal banking is in no way an improvement over the old way. I could do a number of things on the old format that are not available on this one at all. Why did you feel the need to fix something that wasn't broken? Disappointing,.
I am feeling compelled to brag about my recent experience at the Lebonon branch. I was unfortunate enough to have been the victim of a check washing scam and it was quickly caught by the bank. I was notified and very Quickly a plan was put together to protect me from further damage. Crystal and Jodi worked to help me understand what happened and explained the options that i had moving forward. My account was protected while we worked to get a new account established. Crystal took care of quickly getting me new checks and within a week the bank had gotten my money back. I can not give enough thanks for the help with this nightmare.
Want to compliment Ala in Middletown branch for helping me set up online access. You have a great employee. Went out of her way to assist me.
I asked the teller to put the cash into an envelope after withdrawing. She then said "I will , and count it in the back for you, the people behind you will withdraw a lot more than you are, that's why they here" I looked behind me and saw 3 islanders in line. As she went in the back I started to think, did she just profiles me for asking to put my money in an envelope? Because of the diversity in line? Last time I was there they handed me a large amount of cash and had to shove it in an envelope myself, in full display. I don't care who's in line?! It's common precaution. People today are absolutely brainwashed!! It's disgusting!!
The staff at the West Boylston branch of Berkshire Bank have been very helpful to me on several occasions recently. I want to thank Joanne Remillard, the asst. branch mgr. for her help and also Erica, at the counter. I have been a member since the early days of Commerce Bank, in Worcester MA., it has been my bank for over 50 years. The people in this branch are very professional and friendly. They are always ready to help with any situation. I am so happy to keep Berkshire bank as my primary bank.
Still waiting for my checks I ordered from Berkshire. In the past I have had an excellent relationship with Berkshire of Ludlow Vermont. Now they will not send my checks I ordered over two weeks ago and have realy messed up my ability to keep on top of my payments.

I have been trying to reach the Hebron Branch since 9:05. I requested a call back and have been waiting for almost a hour with no call back as of yet. Yet, they said I would NOT lose my place in line.
North Utica is a very friendly staff, like their patience with the aging baby boomers!
Hi looking to see when you are opening again.
I have only recieved 3 bank statements this year: Feb, Mar, and June. Perhaps they caught Covid and died at the P.O because they don't have ventilators there. Perhaps they are stuck in the linining of a postie's bag. Perhaps some postal worker plans to resurrect them as ballots. Anyway I didn't get them. I want them!!

This is my favorite bank. Everyone is courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient. It is nice to be greeted when entering and being on a first-name basis with the staff. The bank is very neat.
