Bellevue State Bank, originally established as the First National Bank in Bellevue on January 1, 1934, has undergone several significant changes throughout its history. On June 1, 1965, the bank shifted its charter from a national bank to a state-chartered bank, opting to withdraw from membership in the Federal Reserve System and change its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Subsequently, on October 20, 1965, Bellevue State Bank expanded its operations by changing its trust powers to full trust services.
