History Of Baylake Bank
Baylake Bank was established on July 22, 1876, originally as the State Bank of Kewaunee in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. The bank underwent a series of name changes and acquisitions throughout its history, including a significant transformation in 1994 when it became known as Baylake Bank - Kewaunee. In 1996, the bank officially adopted the name Baylake Bank and expanded its footprint through acquisitions, including the purchase of The Bank in Manawa, Wisconsin, and Evergreen Bank, National Association in Poysippi, Wisconsin. The main office was relocated to 217 North 4th Avenue in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, during the same year. In December 2015, Baylake Bank acquired Union State Bank in Kewaunee, Wisconsin. Ultimately, on April 29, 2016, Baylake Bank merged and became part of Nicolet National Bank, headquartered in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
