Bay Bank

Bay Bank, FSB was established on July 9, 2010, in Baltimore, Maryland, initially operating as an independent financial institution. As part of its growth strategy, the bank acquired several financial entities, including Bay National Bank in Baltimore on the same day it was founded, as part of a government-assisted merger. In April 2013, Bay Bank further expanded its portfolio by acquiring Carrollton Bank in Baltimore. The bank experienced significant growth through additional acquisitions, including Slavie Federal Savings Bank in Bel Air, Maryland, in May 2014 and Hopkins Federal Savings Bank in Baltimore on July 8, 2016. On the same day, the bank also moved its main office to Columbia Gateway Drive in Columbia, Maryland. In July 2011, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In April 2018, Bay Bank merged with Old Line Bank in Bowie, Maryland. This series of mergers ultimately led to the bank's last merger on November 22, 2019, when Bay Bank became part of WesBanco Bank, Inc., headquartered in Wheeling, West Virginia.
