BRANCH REVIEWS
I was at the Bank on Buffalo location in Akron, NY today and it was a terrible experience. I went there to submit in person the death certificate of my father and was not treated very well. I was told that they would do nothing to his account because I needed some kind of paperwork from the Surrogate Court for his Executor. He did not make anyone and executor nor did he have a Will. I was simply there for his account to be made inactive. I was told to do this by the Social Security Administration. I was made to feel like I was looking for a handout or something. Just stared at basically. I was taking care of him the last 6 months of his life, while he dealt with many problems including dimensia. I left the certified copy with the clerk there. I only wanted it to be on record with this bank. I was treated very poorly. I pulled everything I had with Bank of Akron shortly after this takeover and now I can see why. Customer service is not high on your agenda as a bank.
