The Bank of Utah was established on February 5, 1952, originally operating under the name Utah Bank. Over its history, the institution underwent several significant changes and expansions, including a name change to Bank of Utah on November 27, 1971. The bank's main office has been relocated multiple times, with notable moves to 2641 Washington Boulevard in Ogden, Utah in 1971 and subsequently to 2605 Washington Boulevard in 1975 and again in 2006. Bank of Utah has also expanded its operations through acquisitions, including the acquisition of Bank of Ben Lomond in Ogden in April 1974, the Bank of Northern Utah in Clearfield in November 1978, First Commerce Bank in Logan in September 1999, and the American Bank of Commerce in Provo, Utah in November 2018.
