Bank of the Sierra is a community bank founded on January 19, 1978, in Porterville, California, originally under the name Bank of the Sierra. The bank has undergone several key changes and acquisitions throughout its history. On the same day it was established, it moved its main office to 90 North Main Street in Porterville. In 2000, Bank of the Sierra expanded its operations by acquiring Sierra National Bank located in Tehachapi, California. This trend of growth continued with the acquisition of Santa Clara Valley Bank, National Association in Santa Paula, California, in November 2014, followed by Coast National Bank in San Luis Obispo, California, in July 2016. The institution officially changed its name to Bank of the Sierra in July 2015. Most recently, on October 1, 2017, the bank acquired Ojai Community Bank in Ojai, California.

Why was the branch closed on Friday Jan 28? If it's COVID related you should post that info on the front door or online somewhere. And say aprox when it will reopen. Post it on what's happening Woodlake through Facebook. That's where citizens look for pertinent information that concerns our community. I'd like a little more explanation than "branch closed"....
