Bank of the Cascades

Bank of the Cascades was established on February 1, 1977, initially operating under the same name. The bank underwent several changes over its history, including multiple acquisitions and relocations of its main office. Notably, on January 1, 2004, it acquired Community Bank of Grants Pass in Grants Pass, Oregon, followed by the acquisition of Farmers & Merchants State Bank in Boise, Idaho, on April 21, 2006. The bank changed its trust powers from limited to full on March 21, 2006. It moved its main office twice, first to 1100 Wall Street, Bend, Oregon, on February 5, 2004, and again to 1100 Northwest Wall Street on January 17, 2007. Subsequent acquisitions included Home Federal Bank in Nampa, Idaho, on May 17, 2014, and Prime Pacific Bank, National Association in Lynnwood, Washington, on August 1, 2016. Ultimately, on August 12, 2017, Bank of the Cascades merged and became part of First Interstate Bank, located in Billings, Montana.
