The Bank of Pensacola, originally established on October 26, 1973, under the name First Navy Bank, began its operations in Pensacola, Florida. The institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System on August 30, 1974, marking an important step in its regulatory framework. Over the following decades, the bank underwent several significant changes, including a name change to First Navy Bank and subsequent withdrawal from the Federal Reserve System on November 17, 2011. This change coincided with a reclassification to a State Chartered Bank. On April 15, 2014, the bank adopted its current name, Bank of Pensacola.
