History Of Bank of New England

The Bank of New England has its origins dating back to June 24, 1983, when it was established as Fidelity Bank & Trust Company. Over the following years, the institution underwent several significant changes. On February 21, 1984, the main office was relocated to Stiles Road in Salem, New Hampshire. Subsequently, in 1985, it moved to another location within Salem. On June 16, 1995, the institution changed its name to Southern New Hampshire Bank and Trust Company, and the main office was moved again to Range Road in Windham, New Hampshire, later relocating to Pelham Road in Salem on June 7, 1999. In a notable development, the bank acquired First Alliance Bank and Trust Company in Manchester, New Hampshire, on February 2, 2001, as part of a government-assisted merger. Finally, on April 2, 2007, the institution was renamed Bank of New England, marking its current identity.
