The Bank of Morton was established on January 1, 1904, in Morton, Mississippi. Originally, the institution operated under the name Bank of Morton and possessed full trust powers beginning December 6, 1943. However, on September 1, 2004, the bank changed its trust powers to none. On July 3, 2007, the main office was relocated to 366 South 4th Street in Morton, Mississippi. After more than a century of operation, the Bank of Morton merged with and became part of the Bank of Commerce, based in Greenwood, Mississippi, on December 31, 2023.
