The Bank of Modesto was established on September 1, 1891, in Modesto, Illinois. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in location, with its main office moving to Main Street in Modesto on December 30, 1989, and later relocating to 201 East State Street on December 31, 2009. Ultimately, on July 21, 2017, the Bank of Modesto merged with Warren-Boynton State Bank, which is located in New Berlin, Illinois. This merger marked the conclusion of the Bank of Modesto's independent operations.
