The Bank of Hillsboro, National Association, is a financial institution based in Hillsboro, Illinois. It was established on July 2, 1945, under the name National Bank of Mount Olive. The institution underwent several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In December 1993, it changed its name to National Bank. Subsequently, in August 1995, the bank acquired County National Bank and relocated its main office to 212 South Main Street, Hillsboro, Illinois. Later that year, it also secured Security Savings Bank, F.S.B., from Hillsboro. In January 1997, the bank further expanded by acquiring State Bank of Keyesport in Keyesport, Illinois. On October 10, 2008, it acquired Meridian Bank in Eldred, Illinois, as part of a government-assisted merger. The main office was moved again on July 21, 2014, to its current location at 230 South Main Street, Hillsboro, Illinois.
