History Of Bank of Glen Ullin

The Bank of Glen Ullin was established on January 2, 1947, in Glen Ullin, North Dakota. Over the years, the bank underwent several changes in its regulatory status and operational structure. On April 10, 1990, the main office moved to 102 South Avenue East in Glen Ullin, and later on April 17, 1995, it relocated to 106 South Avenue West in the same city. The institution transitioned to a member of the Federal Reserve System on November 1, 2007, and subsequently changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve. However, on August 29, 2012, the bank withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System, switched to being regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and converted to a state-chartered bank. After more than seven decades of operation, the Bank of Glen Ullin merged with The Union Bank located in Beulah, North Dakota, on October 30, 2020, marking the end of its independent operations.
