History Of Bank of Floyd

The Bank of Floyd was established on January 1, 1951, originally named The Bank of Floyd. On August 1, 1995, the institution changed its name to Bank of Floyd and also became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with its primary federal regulatory agency changing to the Federal Reserve. Subsequently, on September 12, 1995, the main office was relocated to 101 Jacksonville Circle, Floyd, Virginia 24091. On July 1, 2016, Bank of Floyd merged with Grayson National Bank, which is based in Independence, Virginia. Following this merger, the institution officially changed its name to Skyline National Bank on March 13, 2017.
