History Of Bank of Colorado

The Bank of Colorado, originally established as The Fort Lupton State Bank in 1900, has undergone several name changes and acquisitions throughout its history. In 1987, it was renamed The First Security Bank, and shortly after, it began expanding through acquisitions, including The First National Bank of Brush in the same year and Farmers State Bank of Yuma in 1989. The institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System on March 26, 1993. Subsequently, in 1998, it changed its name to Bank of Colorado and acquired Bank of Colorado-Front Range in Windsor, Colorado, and The Burns National Bank of Durango in Durango, Colorado, in 2000. The bank shifted its regulatory status by withdrawing from the Federal Reserve System and becoming a state-chartered bank on September 1, 2004. It continued to grow by acquiring the First National Bank of Colorado Springs in July 2004 and Western Bank in Gallup, New Mexico, in March 2005. The institution made notable expansions in Colorado, including the acquisition of MontroseBank in Montrose, Colorado, in February 2015. On July 1, 2017, it formally changed its name to Bank of Colorado, marking the latest chapter in its long history of service in the banking sector.

Bank review

Apparently bank of Colorado only caters only to the wealthy white Democrats. I have a 780 credit. Never had a problem with Any financial institution. yet 2 weeks after opening my account they closed it. "Risk assessment did not meet their standards". Agent couldn't tell me what that even ment. Good riddance. Glad I didn't transfer much $ over. I feel like Kanye West getting canceled by J P morgan.... Read more
