History Of Bank of Buffalo
Bank of Buffalo, originally established as The First National Bank of Buffalo on January 7, 1901, is a financial institution located in Buffalo, Kentucky. The bank underwent a significant transformation on December 5, 1988, when it changed its name to Bank of Buffalo, shifted its primary federal regulatory agency from the Federal Reserve to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and became chartered by the state. After this transition, it withdrew from the Federal Reserve System. On September 15, 1999, Bank of Buffalo became a member of the Federal Reserve System, with its primary federal regulatory agency changing back to the Federal Reserve. On February 28, 2005, the main office of the bank was moved to 2441 Greensburg Road, Buffalo, Kentucky, 42716.
