We are a small non-profit organization based in NYC. I am currently the Chair of the Board. We've been banking at the One Penn Plaza site for years. Recently we've had some turnover on our Board and the two Board members who were signators on our BOA account, our former Treasurer and former Board Chair, went off our Board.
We contacted Bank of America to determine how to replace those signators with two other signators. (I am one of the two and since I'm currently living in Virginia, I could not come into the bank to fill out a signatory form but I was sent the form in the mail, filled it out and sent it back to our Secretary.)
Our Secretary submitted the forms to someone at the bank named Moses Saladin. Someone was supposed to contact our Secretary when the transition to our new signators was complete. No-one called. Our Secretary contacted the bank and was told that Moses Saladin had moved on. The contact at the bank said he would need to contact Moses Saladin about the transition and would call when the transition of signators was complete.
No call. We are now in the ridiculous and inappropriate situation that the two signators on our account are no longer members of our Board and no-one in any official capacity in our organization is a signator on our account! This cannot be allowed to go on.
I just tried to call the bank at One Penn Plaza but could not get through. The automated system does have an option to talk to someone at the bank but the message just says that everyone is busy on the phone--and then ends the call!
This is completely unacceptable. If we cannot change the signators on this account we will be forced to move our account to another bank. We are a very small account but that is no reason why we should be treated with disregard.
