Branch Reviews & Complaints
My name is Robert Brewer a loyal 24 year customer at Bank of America. Account number ending in 3393, Retired U.S Citizen, legal Costa Rican resident currently undergoing cancer treatment in Costa Rica.
I have been unable to log in to my account since I updated my information on July 22 of this year because Bank of America has been unable to verify me through a U.S. based telephone number. Although my e-mail and U.S. address has remained the Same, my phone number was changed and Bank of America was informed of this change along with my address here in Costa Rica when made a call of record on July 22 at 2:03 p.m. and talked to a customer service representative while activating my new bank card.
After calling all appropriate phone numbers and always be transferred to the fraud department. After approximately 7 hours, much on hold. I have been told that I MUST go into a banking center in the United States to correct the situation. This is Impossible do to the current COVID epidemic. Currently there are no flights leaving Costa Rica and for the foreseeable future there will be no fights allow in from the U.S.. If It were possible to get to the U.S. and taking the chance of contacting the virus because of my compromised immune system I would not be able to return to Costa Rica without being under quarantine and unable to continue my current cancer treatments.
Living on Social security payments and a few investments which are deposited at the bank and not being able to access these funds through online banking is creating a great hardship and endangering my health.
Please help straighten this out. My phone here is 011-506-8449-1548 my e-mail is robertbrewer47@yahoo.com. I am requesting a meeting as soon as possible to rectify this situation. Sincerely, Robert L. Brewer
I wish there was a way to put 0 stars b/c they don't deserve any. My bank account was compromised in January and I thought I had worked through it with Jasmine (who is sweet and tries). Apparently BOA thought I could be in Atlanta and Miami at the same time so denied my claim without telling me, then cleaned out all of my savings account to cover the deficit in the compromised account. I went in to try and work through it in person and the Branch Manager, Geneva, basically told me that there was nothing more that they could do for me and that I didn't need to waster Jasmine's time trying to help me. She was mean, inconsiderate and has not place as a manager. I have already opened a new account with another bank and after 30 years, will close ALL of my accounts with BOA. They are horrible to their customers and couldn't care less about helping.
