History Of BANK
BANK is a financial institution established on February 13, 1931, originally named Iowa State Bank. Over the decades, it has undergone several name changes and structural adjustments. In 1982, the main office was relocated to Main Street and Highway 78 in Morning Sun, Iowa. The institution changed its name to Iowa National Bank on July 1, 1984, and became a member of the Federal Reserve System, while also changing its chartering agency to The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In the subsequent years, the bank moved its main office to Highway 61 in Wapello, Iowa, on October 1, 1987, and adjusted its trust powers to none by December 30, 1987. On June 30, 1992, the institution changed its name back to Iowa State Bank and transitioned to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as its primary federal regulatory agency, while withdrawing from membership in the Federal Reserve System. The main office was relocated again on March 31, 2006, to 409 Highway 61 South, Wapello, Iowa. Finally, on January 12, 2015, the institution changed its name to BANK.
