Southwest Heritage Bank is a financial institution that was originally established on August 1, 1934, as the Alamogordo Federal Savings and Loan Association in Alamogordo, New Mexico. The bank underwent several name changes, with its first significant rebranding occurring in 1997 when it changed its organization type to a Stock Savings & Loan. In subsequent years, the bank moved its main office multiple times within Alamogordo before relocating to Scottsdale, Arizona, in 2022. The bank adopted the name Bank'34 in April 2008 and later became known as Bank 34 in December 2015. A pivotal moment in its history came in January 2023 when it became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its organization type to a Stock Savings & Loan Covered Savings Association. On March 19, 2024, Southwest Heritage Bank acquired Commerce Bank of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and shortly thereafter, on March 25, 2024, the institution officially changed its name to Southwest Heritage Bank.
