Avidia Bank, established on February 26, 1869, was originally known as Hudson Savings Bank. In its early years, the institution was not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On November 27, 1985, Hudson Savings Bank became FDIC insured, marking a significant step in its development. Over the years, the bank underwent several organizational changes, including a shift to full trust powers on December 29, 1992, and a subsequent reduction to no trust powers on March 11, 1993. The organization type was changed to a stock savings bank on November 1, 1997. On August 15, 1968, the bank rebranded itself as Hudson Savings Bank.
