History Of Aurora Interim National Bank
Aurora Interim National Bank was established in 1921 as the Delaware Savings and Loan Association. Over the years, it underwent several name changes and organizational transformations, including becoming Delaware Savings Bank, Fsb, in 1988 and later changing to a stock savings bank in 1989. In 1999, the institution rebranded as Lehman Brothers Bank, Fsb, and later moved its main office several times, ultimately settling in Wilmington, Delaware. In 2007, Aurora Bank Fsb acquired Capital Crossing Bank located in Boston, Massachusetts. The bank continued to evolve, and by 2011, it changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. In 2013, the institution underwent significant changes, renaming itself Aurora Interim National Bank and transitioning to a national bank that became a member of the Federal Reserve System. However, on June 5, 2013, Aurora Interim National Bank voluntarily closed and liquidated its assets.
