Atlantic Capital Bank, National Association, was established on June 26, 2000, under the name First Central Bank of Monroe. It underwent several name changes, becoming Frontier Bank on July 11, 2000, and then Fsgbank, National Association, on June 2, 2003, as it transitioned into a national bank and a member of the Federal Reserve System. The institution expanded its operations through various acquisitions, including Fsgbank, National Association in Maynardville, Tennessee and Dalton, Georgia, on September 24, 2003, and Jackson Bank & Trust in Gainesboro, Tennessee, on August 31, 2005. In 2015, it changed its name to Atlantic Capital Bank, National Association, following the acquisition of Atlantic Capital Bank in Atlanta, Georgia. The main office relocated to several locations over the years, including Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Atlanta, Georgia. Notably, on March 1, 2022, Atlantic Capital Bank merged with SouthState Bank, National Association, based in Winter Haven, Florida, effectively concluding its operations as an independent entity.
