Arvest Bank is an American financial institution established in 1871 under the name McIlroy Bank & Trust Company. The bank originally operated as a local entity in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and underwent several significant changes throughout its history, including a name change to Arvest Bank in November 2001. Over the years, Arvest Bank expanded its footprint through numerous acquisitions, notably acquiring First Federal Savings and Loan Association in Fayetteville in 1990 and several banks across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri in the early 2000s. Key acquisitions include Bear State Bank in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 21, 2018; National Bank of Arkansas in North Little Rock in December 2013; and Arvest Trust Company, National Association in Rogers, Arkansas, in March 2013.
