History Of Armor Bank
Armor Bank is a financial institution that was originally established as the Forrest City Savings and Loan Association in 1919. Over the years, it has undergone several name changes and regulatory transitions. In 1994, the institution was renamed Forrest City Savings and Loan Association, F.A., and subsequently changed its name to Forrest City Bank, F.S.B. in 1995, transitioning to a stock savings bank and regulating under the Office of Thrift Supervision. In 1997, it became Forrest City Bank, National Association, and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency while becoming a member of the Federal Reserve System. In 2018, the bank changed its name to Armor Bank, withdrew from the Federal Reserve System, and is now classified as a state-chartered bank under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). On November 16, 2021, Armor Bank became a member of the Federal Reserve System again, changing its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve and moving its main office to 715 North Washington Street in Forrest City, Arkansas. Additionally, on November 25, 2019, Armor Bank acquired First Delta Bank located in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
