Armed Forces Bank, National Association, is a financial institution that was established on January 1, 1907, originally named The Army National Bank of Fort Leavenworth. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and acquisitions. In 1990, it changed its name to Army National Bank, further rebranding to Armed Forces Bank, National Association on January 1, 1997. The bank has expanded its operations through a series of acquisitions, including Fort Carson National Bank in Fort Carson, Colorado, on July 1, 1989; Fort Riley National Bank in Fort Riley, Kansas, on June 23, 2006; and Bank Midwest, National Association, in Kansas City, Missouri, on December 10, 2010. Most recently, on June 19, 2015, Armed Forces Bank acquired Armed Forces Bank of California, National Association in San Diego, California. The bank's main office has moved locations multiple times, with a significant relocation occurring on March 27, 1972, to Third Street and Kansas Avenue in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
