Arizona Bank & Trust was established on August 18, 2003, initially operating with full trust powers. The institution's main office was relocated to 1000 North 54th Street in Chandler, Arizona, on December 2, 2004. In subsequent years, the bank acquired several other financial institutions, including Bank of the Southwest in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 15, 2006; Heritage Bank, National Association in Phoenix, Arizona, on March 15, 2013; and First Scottsdale Bank, National Association in Scottsdale, Arizona, on September 12, 2015. The main office moved again on July 15, 2008, to 2036 East Camelback Road in Phoenix, Arizona. Eventually, on October 22, 2022, Arizona Bank & Trust merged with HTLF Bank based in Denver, Colorado, marking the end of its independent operations.
