History Of Anthem Bank & Trust
Anthem Bank & Trust, originally established as Iberville Building and Loan Association in 1915, has undergone several significant transformations throughout its history. On June 30, 1992, the bank relocated its main office to 23910 Railroad Avenue, Plaquemine, Louisiana. In 1998, the organization type was changed to a Stock Savings & Loan. Further restructuring took place on February 27, 2003, when it was rebranded as First Financial Bank and Trust Co., and subsequently converted to a Stock Savings Bank and a Federal Savings Bank, with the chartering agency changing to the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). The institution changed its name again on June 1, 2011, adopting the name Anthem Bank & Trust. Later that year, on July 21, 2011, the primary federal regulatory agency was changed to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
