History Of ANB Bank
ANB Bank, established on September 1, 1964, originally operated under the name The Western National Bank of Colorado Springs. Over the years, the bank underwent several name changes and geographic expansions. In 1990, it relocated its main office to 1130 North Circle Drive in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The name was changed to Western National Bank of Colorado in 1991 following the acquisition of two local banks: The Western National Bank of Academy Boulevard and The Western National Bank of Colorado. In 2002, the institution rebranded itself as Western National Bank and acquired The Bank of Cherry Creek in Denver, Colorado. The following major change came in 2004 when it moved its main office to 3033 East First Avenue in Denver, Colorado, and adopted the name American National Bank after acquiring Mesa National Bank and The American National Bank in Cheyenne, Wyoming. On December 30, 2011, the bank changed its name to ANB Bank and transitioned its regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve System. Subsequent acquisitions included Premier Bank in Lenexa, Kansas, in May 2012 and Capital West Bank in Laramie, Wyoming, in October 2014.
