History Of AmeriState Bank
AmeriState Bank, originally established as The Atoka State Bank on August 6, 1906, has undergone several name changes and relocations throughout its history. In 1972, the institution changed its name to The Atoka State Bank and withdrew from membership in the Federal Reserve System. It later moved to 100 Russell Avenue in Atoka, Oklahoma. In 1986, the bank relocated its main office to Pen And A Streets in Atoka. The bank expanded its operations by acquiring First City Bank of Atoka on February 12, 1987. Following a series of regulatory changes, the institution became a member of the Federal Reserve System and changed its primary federal regulatory agency to the Federal Reserve on October 3, 1996. On June 1, 2001, it adopted the name AmeriState Bank and moved its main office to 113 South Pennsylvania Avenue in Atoka. The bank later relocated again on June 1, 2016, to its current address at 131 South Pennsylvania Avenue in Atoka, Oklahoma.
