Later that year, on December 3, American River Bank acquired Bank of Amador in Jackson, California. The main office was relocated to 9750 Business Park Drive in Sacramento, California, on July 1, 1985, and then moved again to 1545 River Park Drive, Sacramento, California, on March 20, 1994. Ultimately, on August 7, 2021, American River Bank merged with Bank of Marin, which is based in Novato, California, thereby concluding its independent operations.
