American Bank was established on July 10, 1968, originally known as American Bank of Fond du Lac. The institution underwent a name change to American Bank on January 28, 1993. In a significant expansion, American Bank acquired InvestorsBank located in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on October 17, 2014. This move was part of its growth strategy in the regional banking market.
